Joseph Epstein不是个喜欢谈论政治的人，不过他近几年在华尔街日报的专栏没少提到川普总统，关于川普，他在2002年出版的书《势利》中有所提及，这也是全书唯一提到川普的段落，嘴非常毒：

"If he were to be certified as upper class, many others put in that category would doubtless do what they could to find a new social class to fit into."

Epstein的想象力再丰富，恐怕也想不到是多年后川普会做总统吧。
